New Year's Weight Loss
Anyone else hoping to lose weight in the new year? When I went in for my BA 6 weeks ago I was 10 pounds overweight.. the hardest 10 pounds to lose are the last! Then during recovery of not working out like I usually do I've gained about another 3-5 pounds. I really need to clean up my diet and start getting back into tougher workouts to achieve my goal weight of 110lbs.
Anyone else hoping to lose weight and/or just get healthier starting next week in the New Year? What's your goal and plan?

My goal is to lose about 8 pounds (bringing me down to my goal weight of 120) and to tone up. My plan is to eat "clean" and start working out on a regular basis once I have been cleared to do so. I quit smoking before my BA so that is one step towards being healthier that I already have under my belt.

I'm still working on my last lbs too. I'm not sure if it is 10 or 20 lbs until I get there though. So, it could be super hard or easy for the first 10! lol
I haven't been doing too much exercise for a while now because of my BA, then I couldn't get back into it but lost weight anyway due to diet (low carb/ paleo, and Intermittent Fasting), and now I am recovering from surgery again! lol
But, once my swelling goes down and it warms up a bit, I will get back on my bike.

Thanks newbb you look great too!
Congrats on quitting smoking flowerchild2 that's a huge accomplishment!! I would guess it's tougher than losing weight.
Scorpioempress I hear ya on that.. once I fell out of the gym habit it's been tough to get back. Also, I'm nervous I'm going to strain the girls and I'm not to thrilled about showering in the public locker room yet.. keeping these girls under wraps until they look more normal.
I think diet is really the key. Having my recovery coincide with the holidays has been rough on my diet. Normally I can counteract that with my workouts but haven't been doing those either. When I eat clean and lower carb it doesn't matter as much how hard or often I workout.
Gonna try for both starting next week though.. good diet, better workouts.

Yes, 13 lbs for me. I've already lost 24 lbs (on Jenny Craig) with 13 more to go. BA revision and lipo on Jan 25th inspired me. Glad to be joining this group :-)
