Makeup Brush Set
Hey ladies. I am wanting to purchase a new makeup brush set. I have been looking at MAC and Sigma, however they are a bit out of my price range. I am not a professional and they would solely be for personal use. What are some brush sets you would recommend for a decent price. Thanks for your help.

If you want to invest in the highest quality, then I would recommend Hakuhodo brushes. Hakuhodo is the Rolls Royce of make-up brushes!
Non expensive brushes I would recommend are Sigma, MAC and Real Technique.

I recommend the sigma brushes, I know you feel it is a bit out of your price range, but what is an artist with paint and low quality brush.
You don't need to purchase a whole kit, esp if your a beginner.
For your face it's best to use the warmth of your fingers for foundation and concealer.
If you use blush and bronzed an angled brush would work for both. (Elf has one for 3$)
Now for the eyes is the importance for brushes, you need at least two. A regular flat brush to press on eyeshadow which you can buy for 3$ at target from the elf line and than a rounded fluffy brush for blending. If you are interested I can tell you the numbers of my most used.
Hope this helped!
Remember brushes are investment and can last a long time if you take care of them.

I know the original post is older, but someone posted this video a while back that I found really interesting. This guy was a MAC makeup artist who compares their brushes to ones you can get at craft stores like Michaels.
