Hey hotties,
Im planning to do some 1940's pinup style photos for my hubby for our anniversary next year. Still got a ways out to plan, our anni is April 28th but in researching this stuff it looks like some planning is needed in advance for the best outcome. Theres alot too it! Finding the right photographer, getting outfits, deciding on hair and makeup, do I do hair and makeup myself or hire a professional(i so hair and makeup and but so not specialize in pinup styles really), and everything else I need to do!
So I know alot of you ladies are into the whole pinup style look and actually do it alot even in your daily life. Or maybe some of you have taken pics like this yourself? I was hoping you ladies could give me advice on where to get cute outfits without breaking the bank? Makeup ideas? Hair style ideas? Poses? Props? Just ANYTHING you can think of that will make this an awesome shoot.
Im going for the lingerie look with heels and kinda bedroom scene for the most part. I love the stuff Ashley did in her pictures in her albums, very cute girl! I have one outfit already that is pink and black bra and garter belt with the stockings. Its VS very sexy collection, and just adorable. And I also have a VS very sexy collection vintage airline stewartess outfit in baby blue with skirt, jacket, bra, hat and gloves. Thought that would be adorable as well.
But id like to get one with a corset type thing with stockings and stuff. I have some vintage platform mary janes and some pin up style vintage platforms as well. So maybe just need a few more things. I just need some ideas!
Also any good youtube videos on vintage hair and makeup that yall have found helpful please post!
And anything else u can think of! Thanks!!!

Hey girlies!
Thanks for the help! I viewed a few youtube videos yesterday and did my first practice run on doing my makeup and hair. First time so tel me what u think. I think the makeup can get a bit more dramatic for the eyeliner and stuff, but I was going out and didnt want to be too over the top for where I was going.
Good start though.

Look up the video ''The Saturdays - Just can't get enough''
it might give you some ideas for your shoot.
