Coastal Scents 88 palette

Hi Ladies,
So I'm starting to play with eyeshadows a bit. And since I"m a beginner I didn't want to spend that much money on MAC eyeshadow just yet. So I've looked on you tube for tutorials and a bunch of ladies use this Coastal Scent 88 palette. The reviews on this palette are huge. Do you ladies own this? If so you would you recommend the shimmer palette or the original? I've added the link as well for you ladies to see

I LOVE these palettes! I bought both the shimmer and regular 88 palettes almost a year ago and just about 3 months ago I got the warm 88 palette. The warm palette is by far my favorite because I can use it everyday for a natural look, but I do love having the colors around to play with when I go out. It's hard for me to say if you should choose the regular or shimmer palette because I couldn't decide myself, and just asked for both for Christmas, lol! I mostly use those palettes for going out at night and the shimmer is appropriate for that, but I think it might be a bit much for the daytime. And I typically use both because using all shimmer colors would be too much for my tastes. It really depends on your personal preference. I also have the contour and blush palette, but I don't like that one.

Wow I can't eve imagine trying to use the 88 warm palette. haha There's so many neutral colors. I have alot to learn. I'll you tube again to get some more ideas. And that's a good idea. Asking for both of XMAS

I have 3 different CS palettes.

Since you are a beginner I would def recommend the matte/original pallette.

Its way more wearable during the day but can also make great night makeup.

The shimmer is nice too but looks kinda much for the daytime.

thx. I wasn't too sure which one I shouldve gone for. I didn't think their was much a difference. But that makes sense now that I think about it.

I bought the 88 shimmer after watching a ton of makeup tutorials on youtube. I got it in the mail and was so happy! I used it on my sister for my best friends wedding we went to last weekend and she's sold too! Im going to buy the matte soon! I love them!

YES! I do have this... well did. It was amazing. The eyeshadows showed up nice, cheap ones always look good and then have no color once applied. These ones are true to color, and they stay on good. I always add an eyeshadow primer for extra last.

Great colors, and you can totally play with different looks for less!

diito to that! Since you are beginner the original palette would be best for you if you want color. I love the 88 warm palette & the 28 neutral palette.. I used the 28 pan so fast that most of the eyeshadows are gone! If you have the funds you should spurge, get the 88 warm and 28 neutral palettes.. I can tell you straight up those will be your go to eyeshadows!

You should sign up for their newsletter for some specials that comes out every Friday. If you can hold off on your order till then.

I have the original and LOVE it! I am a MAC obsessed fool, but I love all makeup and couldn't pass it up. For being so inexpensive, it has really impressed me as far as staying power and true to color-wise.
