Back to Boxing!
Hi all :) Just am so happy had to share it. I'm 23 days post op and went to do some non-contact cardio kickboxing this morning at 530am woohoo (PS okayed this on Tuesday)... Feel amazing! The only difficult move that caused any kind of "pain" (which was more just muscle soreness which PS said would happen) was when throwing hooks or muy thai elbows... so I just did different punches during those sections of the workout.
Just wanted to share there is light at the end of the tunnel! :boobies: |
Wow, that's a lot of activity for barely over 3-weeks post-op! Do you plan to box with competitive contact later on, or is this strictly a workout routine for you? No matter what my PS said, I'd be super freaked out at the thought of someone punching my boobs!

Was this your first workout post BA or did you work your way up slowly?

I worked my way up with incline walking for a week ... I was totally fine! I don't really spar / contact box. Have twice but wasn't crazy about it. I haven't punched the bag yet either but did kick it and felt fine. Punched the air and that was ok too. I'm at 4 weeks and 3 days now and just helped my best friend move yesterday with some heavy lifting and no issues! No muscle tightness last night, no discomfort ...
I did have a weird pain in the center cleavage but have since developed a chest cold and coughed up a lot of gross phlegm and the pain is gone now ... I think it was phlegm :( ew. |
