How nipple surgery is performed
Nipple surgery is an outpatient procedure performed under local or general anesthesia. Your surgeon can reduce the size of your nipples by making incisions at the base and removing excess skin. The base of the nipple is then stitched back into the center of the areola, which is the circular area of darker skin around your nipple.There are multiple surgical options to correct inverted nipples so they project normally. Recovery after surgery
Most women can return to work after three days, and you’ll have to avoid strenuous activity for two to three weeks while you heal. Pain, swelling, and discomfort will diminish after a few days.
