No, poor skin, stretch marks, and/or droopy breasts are not your fault. These are simply changes that, for the most part, are unavoidable. See your local board-certified plastic surgeon who will assist with surgical planning.

Many things can cause the breast skin to loosen and then sag/wrinkle, but the #1 cause I would say is smoking. Poor diet and lack of exercise affect your overall health, and our skin is most definitely a reflection of our health. But more than anything would be smoking, and it has a tremendous negative affect on your skin. We highly recommend patients quit of course, but at least 3-4 weeks before your procedure and 6 weeks after, you should absolutely quit smoking to prevent some of the complications that can happen with breast surgery.
