I am a little over a year in post op. I have 800cc implants and I am a side sleeper. It has always been slightly uncomfortable to sleep on my side but it's more tolerable then sleeping on my back. I woke up this morning with major sternum pains. It feels as if my chest plate is going to cave in and it hurts with slight movements. It's mainly in the middle and slightly into the left breast. I mainly sleep on the left side.
If your surgery was more than a year ago, it is unlikely that your symptoms are related to your breast implants. As your symptoms have only been present for one day, as long as you are not otherwise feeling sick (difficulty breathing, bruising, swelling, drainage, fever) I would recommend trying an anti inflammatory such as ibuprophen, rest and some ice application.
If you have any other associated symptoms as above, consider consulting your physician right away. Otherwise give it a day to improve. If your symptoms persist, then you should consult with your physician.

This is hard to assess without an in person examination. It is possible your pain is related to implants, or to chest wall discomfort from, say, a contusion to your ribs or a condition called costochrondritis, an inflammatory condition of the rib cage. However, it could also be suggestive of something going on with the capsule around your implant. Most concerning would be a cardiac issue (heart) but that would typically not cause pain with movements. Best to go see your plastic surgeon and/or primary care physician to be examined.

I recommend a visit to your primary care doctor who may likely request an MRI and/or other imaging to determine the cause of the problem. 800 cc implants are very large, so it's possible they could be causing an issue.

It is not uncommon for patients with very large implants to complain about discomfort. 800 cc marks the maximum volume currently available (although there is industry talk of raising that maximum). Thus, you are at the high end of the spectrum.
It has been demonstrated that the complication rate rise as implant volume rises. Larger implants cause greater tissue stress. 800 cc implants x 2 is the equivalent of 3.5 extra pounds draped across your chest (not counting native breast tissue). You may want to consider downsizing if discomfort persists.
As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).

It does not sound like it has anything to do with your breast implants, unless one is significantly larger. With the sternum itself, maybe it's Tietze Syndrome.
