I'm torn between Inspira 365-SRF or 445-SRX.

I honestly don't know which I prefer, all I know is that I want maximum side-boob and beautiful results. I don't want them to be too hard.

Thank you for your question. The type of breast implant your surgeon selects for you is dependent on your anatomy. In particular, your breast base width, soft tissue thickness and tissue stretch. If you would like your breast to have medial fullness or cleavage and lateral fullness ("side-boob") then I would recommend a SRM of SRF implant. This Inspira implant profile is wider than the SRX, which is narrower and more projecting. The implants you have listed both have the same base width of 12 cm. The difference is in projection, the 445-SRX is 6.0 cm compared to 4.9 cm for the 365. If you selected a 450-SRF then the base diameter would increase to 12.75 cm or a 415-SRF which is 12.5 cm base diameter. You may want to discuss the volume and profile options with your plastic surgeon in more detail. Good luck.

Simple decision. All the Inspira line of Natrelle (Allergan) implants have a uniquely high silicone gel fill percentage thst makes them very good implants overall. The SRF (full profile) are a bit wider and less projecting than the SRX (extra full profile)...the 365 SRF diameter is 12 cm the same as the 445 SRX so both will achieve "side boob."

If you have an average breast diameter (12 cm), the difference between your two choices would then be the forward projection and upper fullness which would be greater for the 445 SRX with a projection of 6 cm compared to 4.9 cm for the 365 SRF. You should have at least one visit and complete discussion (ideally more than one) with your plastic surgeon pre-op to be sure all of your questions are answered and to maximize your satisfaction with your result.

Thanks for the question. Help us better understand how you came to be selecting between these specific models? Did you consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon who suggested them?

In our practice, I find the use of Crisalix surgical simulation software to be most helpful when selecting between different implants in order to help educate patients and try to visualize the potential results of different devices. The two devices you are looking at have the same base diameter, but one has significantly more silicone volume and a full centimeter of added projection.

A simple answer is that I tend to recommend the larger of two devices when the patient is on the fence, based on years of experience managing expectations of size, but consultation and simulation in the office is really the best way to help a patient make this decision. Hope this helps!

There are several steps taken to select a specific size/profile breast implant for a specific patient. These steps will vary from one practice to another. I prefer to have a wide selection of implants (all profiles) available in the operating room. I use intraoperative sizers and place the patient in the upright position to evaluate breast size. Use of these sizers also allow me to select the breast implant profile (low, moderate, moderate plus, high-profile) that would most likely achieve the patient's goals. The patient's goal pictures are hanging on the wall, and allow for direct comparison. I have found that this system is very helpful in improving the chances of achieving the patient's goals as consistently as possible.

Ultimately, careful communication of your goals (in my practice I prefer the use of goal pictures, direct examination/communication in front of a full-length mirror, in bra sizers, and computer imaging) as well as careful measurements (dimensional planning) will be critical.

Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation surgery ( regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is:

1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work.

2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals.

In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. For example, I have found that the use of words such as “natural or fake look” or "D or DD cup” etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful.

Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on him who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. Again, the use of computer imaging has been very helpful during the communication process, in our practice.

3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery, after the use of temporary intraoperative sizers.

In your case, my best advice: more communication. It will definitely worth spending more time (prior to the date of surgery) with your plastic surgeon to discuss further. As you know, it will be important for many reasons, that you feel comfortable that you and your plastic surgeon are on the "same page" prior to proceeding.

I hope this helps. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be very pleased with.

I had breast augmentation 6 weeks ago and they seem to have settled but i'm unsure. I'm feel like they are too small. I have tried on bras and I measure into a 32DD as well as 34 C sister size (I was a 32a prior). How long will it take for my breast to drop and fluff? I also have a gap in between which makes it difficult to achieve cleavage.

I had a breast augmentation on April 8th. I feel like they are shaped funny and not as big as I wanted. I went submuscular. Prior to the surgery, I was a 38 B and now I have 560 cc silicone gel Inspira implants. I was hoping to be a DD. Should I have gone bigger? Will my breast take a more natural shape? When is a good time to get a new bra, and will I be a DD once my breasts have settled and healing is complete?

I thought I was getting 400cc high profile silicone but my PS said they'll be 400cc moderate plus. I wanted a natural but big look, a D cup, and a small gap. Maybe that's why he chose those? Is there much difference in projection?

My breast augmentation is next Saturday and I am hesitating between 225 and 250cc submuscular silicone! I am a 32A/tiny B and fill up a 32B bra at Victoria's Secret. I am looking to be a full B/small C. I'm 5"6 and weigh around 100lbs. I am so scared I'm going to look disproportional and fake, but am also scared this is going to make me go too small. My goal is to look natural and proportional, while at the same time have a nice rack. Which implant do you think will give me the desired look?

I'm a little lost on the XL implants matter, that I personally like. Are they really unsafe? What are the reasons for that? It seems most PS don't recommend/perform them. Is it by lack of experience/expertise? Idealism? Are those PS who perform these procedures just "warriors" responding to a well present market? I would be curious to hear some honest answers, leaving the politically/socially correct behind. Thanks in advance.

I am 5"4 and 145lbs. I am currently a 34C and would like to be a Dcup. My PS recommend a lift. I informed him i wanted implants but still want a natural look. PS recommended 485cc smooth moderate plus silicone obove the mucle. Possible mini lift during surgery depending on how the implant looks during surgery. It just sounds like a lot of CCs. It doesn't feel right and now I'm freaking out.

I know there is a vast amount of factors that go into breast augmentation, lifts, and implant manufacturer costs alongside anesthesia, facility, meds, and other costs. But in your experience what is a ball park cost range you typically see for breast augmentation, and breast augmentation + lift. It'd be very helpful if you share a range like 9-10k or 6-7k, etc. Thanks!
