I can't imagine why your skin would change color except for bruising. I would assume this would resolve completely. If you also have a huge asymmetry then you could have a hematoma, which is a collection of blood under the skin around the implant. This is usually not a subtle finding though, and I suspect it's the former and will completely resolve. Good luck!

You should be going to see your surgeon for follow up appointments, and during those appointments, you should ask your surgeon any questions you may have, as well as air any things that concern you. We have no way of knowing the condition of your breast postoperatively.

Hmm, darker is an interesting way to describe the breast. I'm not sure exactly what that means, but let's look at the options. The skin of a breast post-augmentation may have some residual bruising after two weeks, and that may make the skin color look a bit darker than the opposite side. I think this is the most likely option. If this is a visible difference to you, it would be important for you to point this out to your surgeon and get their input. Things to look at include: size difference between the two sides (as well as whether there was one pre-operatively) and was there more swelling in the first two weeks following the surgery. If the color difference is due to residual bruising of the tissues, you can expect this to likely resolve over several weeks.

This is hard to say without pictures or seeing you in person. You need to contact your surgeon as soon as possible for proper evaluation.
Good luck!

Thank you for your question. There may be skin discoloration of the breasts secondary to bruising or alterations in skin blood flow from swelling and the healing process. Low blood flow to an area can cause the skin to become darker. If you are concerned about the way you are healing, you should contact your surgeon so that you can be examined.

Not sure what that is from. I would ask your PS. Could be from a deep bruising. Impossible to tell without examining you in person. I am sure your PS would be happy to see you.

I recommend calling your surgeon and making an appointment.

It sounds like you may have a hematoma or bleeding on the darker side. I would go back and see you plastic surgeon.

Usually discoloration is a result of bruising and will go away on its own. However, without seeing a picture or knowing exactly when this began, I can't really provide you with more information. My recommendation is to contact your plastic surgeon for an appointment to be evaluated. Always best to err on the side of caution.

This could be normal, or it could be a hematoma. Go see the plastic surgeon who performed your breast augmentation to be certain.
