I'm 7 days post op. When looking at my breasts from the side, they have a really odd shape. My nipple looks really low. Will this change?

I had partial unders 445cc nautrella implants. When I feel the nipple area it’s as if the implant isn't there. Could it be too high or not yet settled?

Breast shape after augmentation will change over the first several weeks. It is difficult to advise you on whether what you're experiencing is normal. Your surgeon is best to consult about this. Ask them if this is as expected. That being said, if it is the same on both sides, then likely it is what they intended.

It takes months for your implants to settle. I recommend you wait and be patient; you are still very early out from your procedure.

Wound healing takes time. It is still very early to determine the final shape. They will eventually settle.

We call this the "Drop and Pop" at my practice. The implants start off very high beneath the contracted pec muscle. Once the swelling goes down and the muscle relaxes, the implant "drops" down and "pops" forward. It is common, especially among very thin patients, for the breasts to look flat and the nipple to look low on the implant until after the settling occurs. I would recommend getting in for a follow-up with your surgeon for reassurance, and also to see if a bandeau strap is recommended to help things settle more quickly. Best of luck.

The nipple may be low because the implant hasn't settled in, so I would give it some time.

They are definately going to settle quite a bit. It is way to early to tell what they will ultimately look like next to what they do now. Everyone drops in the first 3 months. Talk to your surgeon and ask him. That communication is essential.

Its fairly typical if you have smooth implants under the muscle that they will be high to start. They typically take 3 to 4 months to drop about 90% of the way and up to a year to fully drop. If your implant is high one week out, it certainly does not mean anything is wrong. With the implant high, the nipple may point downward or look like its on the lower end of the breast. As the implant drops, this will improve.

This should definitely change over the course of the next few months. As your implants drop, the nipples will raise and the lower breast shape will look much more natural.

Hello,
It is impossible to make any meaningful comment except that the likelihood is your implants will drop in the next 6 months and your nipples wont look so low.

Breasts never end up looking like they do at 7 days. Certainly they haven't settled. But without seeing a photo there is no way of knowing if they are too high.

Good morning!
Yes - seven days after augmentation in many patients implants can sit too high - it can take several weeks or sometimes a couple of months for the implants to settle into their final position.
I hope this helps.

If you are only seven days out from surgery, you have a long way to go to get to the final results. It usually takes at least three months for everything to relax and settle so just be patient. There can be a big change from how your breasts appear at the one week mark to a month from now.

I had breast augmentation 6 weeks ago and they seem to have settled but i'm unsure. I'm feel like they are too small. I have tried on bras and I measure into a 32DD as well as 34 C sister size (I was a 32a prior). How long will it take for my breast to drop and fluff? I also have a gap in between which makes it difficult to achieve cleavage.

I had a breast augmentation on April 8th. I feel like they are shaped funny and not as big as I wanted. I went submuscular. Prior to the surgery, I was a 38 B and now I have 560 cc silicone gel Inspira implants. I was hoping to be a DD. Should I have gone bigger? Will my breast take a more natural shape? When is a good time to get a new bra, and will I be a DD once my breasts have settled and healing is complete?

My breast augmentation is next Saturday and I am hesitating between 225 and 250cc submuscular silicone! I am a 32A/tiny B and fill up a 32B bra at Victoria's Secret. I am looking to be a full B/small C. I'm 5"6 and weigh around 100lbs. I am so scared I'm going to look disproportional and fake, but am also scared this is going to make me go too small. My goal is to look natural and proportional, while at the same time have a nice rack. Which implant do you think will give me the desired look?

I'm a little lost on the XL implants matter, that I personally like. Are they really unsafe? What are the reasons for that? It seems most PS don't recommend/perform them. Is it by lack of experience/expertise? Idealism? Are those PS who perform these procedures just "warriors" responding to a well present market? I would be curious to hear some honest answers, leaving the politically/socially correct behind. Thanks in advance.

I am 5"4 and 145lbs. I am currently a 34C and would like to be a Dcup. My PS recommend a lift. I informed him i wanted implants but still want a natural look. PS recommended 485cc smooth moderate plus silicone obove the mucle. Possible mini lift during surgery depending on how the implant looks during surgery. It just sounds like a lot of CCs. It doesn't feel right and now I'm freaking out.

I know there is a vast amount of factors that go into breast augmentation, lifts, and implant manufacturer costs alongside anesthesia, facility, meds, and other costs. But in your experience what is a ball park cost range you typically see for breast augmentation, and breast augmentation + lift. It'd be very helpful if you share a range like 9-10k or 6-7k, etc. Thanks!
