Is it possible to get a Mommy Makeover (BA, mini tummy tuck and lipo) for a packaged deal? How do I go about finding someone who is qualified?

I'm over having stretch marks and raisin looking boobs :/ I went to a doctor who was offering a great deal, but after the consult I came home and did some research and every review I read was horrible! I have cash for the surgery, but am looking for a packaged deal between $7-10k. I have 4 kids ages 18-23. It's time for me. Is it possible to find a qualified surgeon to perform a breast augmentation, mini tummy tuck and lipo for the price mentioned? How do I find someone skilled enough?

While you sound like a good candidate for a "mommy makeover" based on your pregnancy history and appearance description, important considerations are your general health and the choice of the right plastic surgeon. Safety should be your number one concern not price. Visit with several experienced board-certified plastic surgeons in your area based on recommendations from friends, family and personal physicians as well as, of course, online search especially focusing on reviews. "Do your homework" and you will find the right practice.

I would advise finding the best surgeon to perform your Mommy Makeover surgery vs. looking at cost as the primary factor. In my opinion, it is worth saving up the additional money needed to ensure your surgery is performed by a qualified, experienced surgeon who you have a good rapport with. The goal here is to have one surgery, one recovery, and one cost with a result you are thrilled about. Do not compromise for the sake of cost. Financing is available at most plastic surgery practices as well. Be sure the surgeon you choose is board-certified in plastic surgery and has years of experience with MM. The surgeon should have a large gallery of photos for you to see. MM is one of the most invasive procedures in cosmetic surgery and carries increased risks. Do not compromise!

Thank you for the question. Yes, in general if you are in good health, multiple procedures can be performed at the same time. Often pricing is reduced when multiple procedures are performed; however, you will have to check with the specific surgeon in regards to pricing and financing.

Thank you for your question. When selecting a plastic surgeon, it is essential to consult with a surgeon who is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Your surgeon should have experience with the procedures you are interested in having and be able to show you before and after photographs of his or her patients. It is also important that your surgeon is a person you feel comfortable with, who listens and understands your individual appearance goals. Don't shop price. There are qualified plastic surgeons who can help you look and feel better at a reasonable price.

Body contouring with breast implants with/without an uplift is one of my specialties. The price of combining these procedures--that is, the breast and tummy and/or lipo surgery--varies depending on what you need. When the patient combines procedures, the costs usually are decreased.

What you really want is a competent, ABPS-certified, (and preferably) ASAPS-member surgeon doing your surgery. There are thousands of doctors who are completely unqualified or incompetent performing these surgeries. They claim to be 'board certified', but are certainly not with the ABPS, the only one that matters. Unfortunately, your price range is insufficient. Here in Los Angeles, the average cost for just a breast augmentation by a qualified and experienced surgeon is $8,500, and that price really only varies by +/- $1,000 anywhere else in the country. Many studies have shown, and news outlets have highlighted, that cheap plastic surgery is dangerous and has a very high rate of complications. Please visit qualified surgeons only.

Pricing for a transatlantic cruise varies on the number of places that you choose to see, the accommodations that are necessary to ensure your happiness, the all inclusive menu, drinks, and the conditions that the cruise liner must traverse to get to the final destination. So too does a mommy makeover. The procedure is tailored to the amount of work that the surgeon has to put in, the condition (size) of the patient, anesthesia pricing, number of areas and size of the areas liposuctioned, the patient's smoking history, surgery center vs. hospital pricing, and the choice of out patient treatment vs. staying overnight.

Occasionally, the surgery must be divided into two procedures because if the volume of work or compromises that must be conceded. Choose a board-certified plastic surgeon. One can look up great peer-tested references on the American Board of Plastic Surgery or American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons' "find a doctor" website.

It is possible to accomplish these procedures in one surgery. Breast and body contouring are typical components of a "mommy makeover". A mommy makeover is a catch-all term for some cosmetic breast correction and abdominal correction after pregnancy. Pricing for plastic surgery is regional and the cheapest is not always the best.

When choosing a plastic surgeon, do not let price be your main driver. You want to be comfortable with your surgeon, feel confident in their abilities, and be able to talk with them in an easy and convenient manner. Certainly price plays a role for everyone, but find the surgeon who really seems to hit home for you and then worry about the price. Most surgeons do offer a discounted price when you are doing multiple surgeries at the same time. However, that doesn't necessarily mean it is still going to be in your range. It all depends on what you need to have done and how extensive the surgery is. You need to go for a few consultations with board-certified plastic surgeons and see what they recommend. I hope this helps.

You should be able to find any number of good surgeons; however, the prices may vary. The price you quoted is very fair, if not low.

I am doing research on surgeons and have a scheduled mommy makeover. I can't find anything online for my doctor. He is claiming to be double board certified in plastic and reconstructive surgery but nothing online says he is. He also said after my tummy tuck and muscle repair I won't be able to do anymore sit-ups or heavy lifting. Is this true?. I'm having second thoughts about this doctor. The doctors we are looking at for a breast lift and tummy tuck are board certified. One is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery; the other is certified through the American Osteopathic Association. Reading online there doesn't seem to be much of a difference.
