I don't have much pain and bruising is going away. So I don't want to worry about nothing.
Swelling 10 days post-op is completely normal as-is for the two sides to heal at different rates. Having said that, I would recommend addressing your concerns with your plastic surgeon.

The swelling may go down at different rates, but you should check with your plastic surgeon.

Thank you for sharing. Make sure you show and discuss this with your PS. Only an in-person exam can adequately determine what you need. Best wishes!

You should see much improvement at your one-month follow up. Your surgeon will be able to evaluate your healing progress at that time and make any recommendations.

Without seeing photos its difficulty to be specific, but its generally still early at 10 days post-op to worry about swelling or any asymmetry you may see. One breast will not necessarily behave the same as the other with regard to swelling, bruising, how long it takes implant to drop, nipple sensation, etc. Its probably best to speak to your surgeon but I would say you probably just need to give it more time to settle.

Recovery after breast augmentation is never symmetric and typically the dominant hand side is the side which takes longer for the implant to drop. It usually takes about three weeks for the implants to start to settle into the proper position and for swelling to subside.

I would go see your plastic surgeon to make sure everything is ok

Unfortunately, without examining you, it would be impossible for me to tell you why your right breast is swollen, or how long it will take to be more symmetrical with the left breast. Please refer to your surgeon sooner than later and have him examine you.

Hello, and thank you for this question. It is not uncommon to have swelling after the surgery. Many times this is not symmetrical. I would recommend you continue to followup with your plastic surgeon to make sure there is no unusual bleeding in the side that is swollen.best of luck.

Thank you for the question. If you've had Breast augmentation and one Breast has softened while the other has not, it may be that the pocket is tighter or was not opened up as much as the other. Time or massage usually takes care of this. If it does not relax on its own. A capsulotomy, or opening of the capsule pocket will often easily take care of this.
All the best,

Please discuss with your surgeon as we don't have enough information to make a proper diagnosis. This may be normal depending on what was done and swelling may take 3 weeks and up to 9 months to resolve. However, I would recommend that you review this with your physician.

The first question is "what did your surgeon say about it?". The swelling could be due to a number of things. Perhaps your surgeon encountered more problems doing the right breast during surgery, there could be a fluid collection, you could've slept on the right side, you might be right-hand dominant and are using the right hand more. Those are just a number of possibilities.

Each breast has its own rate of healing. In general, it takes about three months for everything to stop changing. It is not unusual to have one breast that progresses faster than the other. At ten days after surgery, you still have a lot of healing to work through. I recommend checking with your surgeon, but unless it is markedly firmer and harder than the other breast, and/or twice the size, I would not worry about it. I hope this helps.
