Would 800cc over filled to 1000cc give me the Barbie fake look? Do they have to be placed over the muscle or can they be placed under the muscle? Some girls on this forum say they have 800cc over filled to 1000cc high profile over the muscle. That is the look that I want to achieve. I want the high projected look.
A "high projection look" can be achieved with saline or silicone implants using higher projecting implants (high or extra high) and a large enough volume to suit any individual woman's body dimensions and goal appearance desires. Also whether over or under the muscle a high projection look can be achieved. Typically saline implants are overfilled to lessen rippling and fold failure and also standard saline implants do come in larger volumes (800cc+) compared to silicone implants.

Thank you for your question. I recommend having a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss what you are trying to achieve.
If you're looking for the most projection, a high profile implant rather than the mod plus would give you a higher and more projected look. Even though the volume is less, the projection is greater.
Placement of the implant is not what determines the look of the implant, and with this large of an implant, placing it above the muscle would more than likely cause premature ptosis because of the weight of the implant and the lack of support.

They can be placed in either position, but under might be a problem with this huge size. Over the muscle, however, has a 70% chance of contracture and looking terrible in 1 year, not to mention guaranteed sagging and drooping of the breasts due to the weight.

It will depend on your breast tissue. I recommend you visit a board-certified plastic surgeon for a personal evaluation and to talk about your goals. Good luck :)

Under the muscle will give you more of a fake look with high profile implants also.

No. I don't recommend 1000 cc saline implants placed over the muscle either, unless you like the look of ripples everywhere on your breasts.

Thank you for the question.
There are pros and cons to the placement of breast implants in the “sub muscular” position versus the "sub glandular position”. I will try to outline some of the differences here; you may find the attached link helpful as well.
I think it is in the best interests of most patients seeking breast augmentation surgery to have implants placed in the “dual plane” or sub muscular position. This positioning allows for more complete coverage of the breast implants leading to generally more natural feel/look of the implants in the long-term. This position will also decrease the potential for rippling and/or palpability of the implants (which may increase with time, weight loss, and/or post-pregnancy changes).
The submuscular positioning also tends to interfere with mammography less so than breast implants in the sub glandular position. The incidence of breast implant encapsulation (capsular contraction) is also decreased with implants placed in the sub muscular position.
On the other hand, sub glandular breast implant positioning does not have the potential downside of “animation deformity” ( movement/ distortion of the breast implants seen with flexion of the pectoralis major muscle) they can be seen with breast implants placed in these sub muscular position.
We have many examples of overfilled saline implant results on our website that you may find helpful when doing your research.

Implants can be placed underneath the muscle and still achieve a very rounded "fake" look. With that size, it is actually adviseable to use the muscle as an added coverage over the implant. It is rare to be able to go that large in one setting, and may take a couple of surgeries, but the muscle coverage is usually a better option.

I perform over 200 XL augmentations each year (which I define as 600cc and above). I prefer sub-muscular placement because over the long term the extra support from the muscle and the lower capsular contraction risk makes your results look better and last longer, and absolutely yes you can achieve the high round firm fake look!
