Typically breast implants "drop" early on over the first 1-2 months as the tissues stretch. As the implants move lower the relative position of your nipples will tend to move up a bit.

Yes for sure! I've heard that referred to as 'Frankenboob'! As the muscle softens, the implants will come down where they're supposed to. Don't worry!

It is very early in the healing process and things will change over time, The implants should come down. I would not worry; it has only been ONE day. Discuss with your doctor at the first post-op appointment.

You would need to talk with your plastic surgeon, for I don't know whether your implants are placed under the muscle or what you looked like before surgery.

Thank you for your question. Breast implants almost never look the same on the first post op day as they do when you are completely healed at 3 to 6 months. If your implants are sitting high on your chest wall then your nipples will appear to low. As the implant drops and swelling subsides the position of the nipple should improve. Talk to your surgeon about what you can do to improve the implant position. I recommend that you go without a bra as much as possible as long as you are comfortable. Also, a band can be worn around the upper portion of your chest / implant to increase downward displacement, and if you have a smooth surface breast implant, gentle downward massage may help too. Don't worry, be patient, and the appearance will improve.

Most likely. As the implants drop, the nipples tend to go up. Of course without seeing photos, I cannot tell you for sure. If you were very ptotic (saggy), then the nipples wont go up significantly without having a lift. It usually takes 3 to 4 months for smooth implants to drop.

Most patients find that the implants appear high at first, with more volume above the nipple than below the nipple, As the tissues relax and the implants settle, more of the volume will rotate into the lower pole of the breast, making the nipple appearance more balanced. At only one day after surgery you have a long way to go until you see the final result. Just be patient and follow your surgeon's instructions.

Most likely. Assuming that you did not need a lift, the position of the nipple areolar complex moves opposite to the position of the implants. If the implants are high ( which is usual early post op ) the nipples will appear too low. Conversely, when the implants are too high, the nipples seem to be too high.

Thank you for the question. Its difficult to know without photos or a thorough understanding of what was performed, but the lower half of the breast skin/breast tissue often stretches and elongates with time after breast implants. With this process, the nipple areola complex naturally becomes more centered on the implant.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for your question.
I have found, that with time, as breast implants “settle” that the resulting breast shape will improve and the nipple/areola will raise. You may be able to see this for yourself if you stand in front of a full-length mirror and “pull up on the breast skin and down on the breast implant"; as the breast implant moves into the lower part of the pocket and the nipple/areola move up, the breast may appear to be larger in appearance.
I would suggest you wait at least 3 to 6 additional months before you make any decisions regarding the results of your breast augmentation surgery.

Without photos, it is hard to say. In general though, implants will expand the tissue pocket and drop. This in turn improves nipple position.

It may all seem a little overwhelming but you ally there is a lot of swelling at this early point in time that makes this seem worse than it will be in the long run. I assume your implants are smooth and round. In these instances it is common for the implants to settle with time and stop making the nipples appear to rise on the breast mound

If your nipples look low, and your implants look high, this usually settles out over time. The implants may descend, and the nipples rise . Any concerns should be discussed with your plastic surgeon.

I had breast augmentation 6 weeks ago and they seem to have settled but i'm unsure. I'm feel like they are too small. I have tried on bras and I measure into a 32DD as well as 34 C sister size (I was a 32a prior). How long will it take for my breast to drop and fluff? I also have a gap in between which makes it difficult to achieve cleavage.

I had a breast augmentation on April 8th. I feel like they are shaped funny and not as big as I wanted. I went submuscular. Prior to the surgery, I was a 38 B and now I have 560 cc silicone gel Inspira implants. I was hoping to be a DD. Should I have gone bigger? Will my breast take a more natural shape? When is a good time to get a new bra, and will I be a DD once my breasts have settled and healing is complete?

My breast augmentation is next Saturday and I am hesitating between 225 and 250cc submuscular silicone! I am a 32A/tiny B and fill up a 32B bra at Victoria's Secret. I am looking to be a full B/small C. I'm 5"6 and weigh around 100lbs. I am so scared I'm going to look disproportional and fake, but am also scared this is going to make me go too small. My goal is to look natural and proportional, while at the same time have a nice rack. Which implant do you think will give me the desired look?

I'm a little lost on the XL implants matter, that I personally like. Are they really unsafe? What are the reasons for that? It seems most PS don't recommend/perform them. Is it by lack of experience/expertise? Idealism? Are those PS who perform these procedures just "warriors" responding to a well present market? I would be curious to hear some honest answers, leaving the politically/socially correct behind. Thanks in advance.

I know there is a vast amount of factors that go into breast augmentation, lifts, and implant manufacturer costs alongside anesthesia, facility, meds, and other costs. But in your experience what is a ball park cost range you typically see for breast augmentation, and breast augmentation + lift. It'd be very helpful if you share a range like 9-10k or 6-7k, etc. Thanks!
